City Hospital Gurdaspur organized a free medical camp on September 8 in the village of Tibbar. The camp was inaugurated by the hospital’s director, Dr. Rishabh Arora. During the camp, Dr. Salman conducted free health checkups for approximately 150 patients and provided them with complimentary medications along with the medical examinations.
Specialist doctor Riya Mahajan also attended to the patients during the event. Prominent senior citizens of the village, such as Rajesh Kumar, Mahinder Kumar, Ram Darshak, Suneet Dutt, Jatinder, Raghubir Chand, and Gurmeet Singh, played an important role in the success of the camp.
The camp was led by Sonia Sachar, the unit head of City Hospital. She informed the attendees about the hospital’s facilities and the benefits of the Ayushman Bharat Scheme. Dr. Rishabh Arora emphasized that the Ayushman Bharat Scheme is now available, allowing people to conveniently access their medical needs through a cashless system.
Such initiatives are enhancing access to healthcare facilities in rural areas and providing essential medical support to those in need.
