“EMC’s Nurses are the Epitome of Service, Dedication, and Compassion” — Pawan Arora
On the occasion of International Nursing Day, EMC Group of Hospitals honored its nursing staff across all its hospital units, celebrating them as symbols of service, dedication, and compassion. Chairman of EMC Group, Mr. Pawan Arora, extended his heartfelt wishes to the nursing staff, stating that nursing is not just a profession but a mission — a supreme example of compassion, humanity, and commitment. He emphasized that EMC’s nurses are true representatives of this mission, providing not only medical care but also emotional support to patients during their most difficult times, much like a family.
Special programs were organized across EMC’s branches in Amritsar, Gurdaspur, Batala, Pathankot, Dhariwal, and others. These events included ceremonies honoring the nurses, motivational seminars, and presentations showcasing inspirational stories of nursing service. Certificates of appreciation and gifts were distributed, while senior doctors and department heads praised the invaluable contributions of the nursing staff. Inspirational messages and quotes were displayed across ICUs, Operation Theaters, Emergency, and Maternity Wards. Patients and their families also expressed their gratitude toward the nursing teams.
The main event was held at EMC Super Specialty Hospital, Green Avenue, Amritsar, where senior administrative officials, the Chief Nursing Officer, and departmental representatives participated. The hospital’s Nursing Education Department delivered a presentation on the theme “The Role of Nurses—The Pivot of Transformation in Modern Healthcare.”
In his message, Mr. Pawan Arora remarked, “No matter how critical a patient’s condition may be, the first ray of hope often comes from the smile of a nurse.” He added that EMC Group is proud of its nursing staff, who transform lives through their skill, compassion, and commitment.
The EMC Group embraced the theme of this year’s International Nursing Day — “Our Nurses. Our Future. The Economic Power of Care” — during the celebrations. Reinforcing the critical role of nursing services in both society and the economy, the group also pledged to continue its efforts to provide high-level training, career growth opportunities, support for innovation and research, and the integration of digital technologies. EMC reaffirmed its commitment to excellence in patient-centered care, with nurses at the heart of this mission.
