World Cancer Day Awareness Campaign by Pulse Hospital
Amritsar: Observed annually on February 4, World Cancer Day serves as an important occasion to raise awareness about cancer worldwide, focusing on its treatment and prevention. In line with this, Pulse Hospital, a unit of the EMC Group in Amritsar, launched a special awareness campaign through its oncology department. City-based oncologist Dr. Alka emphasized the importance of detecting and treating cancer in its early stages.

Dr. Alka stated, “Identifying the early signs of cancer and treating them on time can save many lives. With the use of new technological tools and scientific methods in cancer treatment today, it has become possible to control the disease.” She also highlighted the importance of cancer prevention, including a healthy diet, lifestyle choices, and regular screening tests.
In his message on this occasion, Pulse Hospital Director Dr. Rishabh Arora said, “World Cancer Day provides an opportunity for us to educate people about the importance of cancer awareness and prevention. Timely treatment and response to cancer are crucial. Our goal is to provide the best care, cutting-edge technology, and dedicated team services to our patients at Pulse Hospital.”
Meanwhile, an advisory issued by the hospital urged the public to adopt a healthy lifestyle, maintain a balanced diet, exercise regularly, and undergo routine check-ups to ensure early detection of any hidden diseases.
As part of this campaign, the hospital spread awareness about the symptoms and prevention of cancer, as well as the available treatment techniques and stages of care.
Through this awareness initiative, Pulse Hospital continues to educate people that cancer treatment is not only possible with scientific techniques and facilities, but also through awareness and timely, competent care. Therefore, every individual should take care of their health and never ignore any symptoms.
The Pulse Hospital team worked hard to ensure that, alongside celebrating the day, this message reached as many people as possible—reminding them that the fight against cancer is a collective effort, with contributions from not only doctors but the entire community.
