The event was marked by camaraderie, music, and the warmth of bonfires, reflecting the hospital’s commitment to fostering a sense of community among its team.
The celebrations began in the hospital courtyard, beautifully decorated with colorful kites, traditional Punjabi ornaments, and vibrant rangoli patterns. Staff members, dressed in ethnic attire, gathered around the bonfire, which is the heart of Lohri festivities. The management team, led by Mr. Pawan Arora, joined the staff in lighting the bonfire, symbolizing hope, prosperity, and the triumph of good over evil.
In his address to the attendees, Pawan Arora said, “Lohri is a time to express gratitude for our blessings and celebrate togetherness. At PMC Hospital, we value the incredible contributions of our staff who work tirelessly to provide the best care to our patients. Events like these remind us of the importance of unity and shared joy.”
The highlight of the evening was the traditional folk music and dance performances by staff members, including energetic Bhangra and Gidda routines that had everyone clapping and cheering. The festive mood was further elevated by the distribution of traditional Lohri snacks like til laddoos, gur rewri, and popcorn.
The celebration also included a special recognition ceremony where exceptional staff members were honored for their dedication and service. This gesture underscored the hospital’s culture of appreciation and teamwork.
The evening concluded with everyone coming together to sing traditional Lohri songs and enjoy the delicious festive feast. The event not only brought joy to the hospital community but also showcased the spirit of unity and inclusivity that PMC Hospital embodies.
As the bonfire burned bright, it illuminated not just the evening sky but also the hearts of all present, reminding everyone of the values of gratitude, hard work, and togetherness that Lohri represents.
