This year’s Independence Day was celebrated with grandeur, patriotism, and unity at EMC Hospital, Amritsar. From early morning, the hospital premises were adorned in the vibrant colors of the tricolor. The main entrance, decorated with flags and flowers, warmly welcomed every visitor. Melodious patriotic songs echoed through the corridors and courtyards of the hospital, filling the atmosphere with a strong sense of national pride.
The flag-hoisting ceremony began at 8 AM, led by Mr. Pawan Arora, Chairman of EMC Group, who unfurled the national flag. Doctors, nurses, staff, and visitors joined together in singing the national anthem. As the tricolor waved high, faces lit up with joy and pride.
Cultural Programs Enlivened the Spirit
Following the flag hoisting, a series of cultural programs took place in the hospital auditorium. Children of the staff paid tribute to the freedom fighters through patriotic songs and poems. A short play brought to life significant moments of India’s freedom struggle, leaving the audience deeply moved. The nursing staff’s group performance of “Saare Jahan Se Achha” created a wave of patriotism across the hall.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Pawan Arora shared his heartfelt thoughts:
