Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour at EMC Hospital Batala. The event was organised to commemorate the spirit of freedom and honour the sacrifices made for the country. The National Flag was unfurled at the hospital premises with full respect and enthusiasm. The doctors, nursing staff, employees and other members of the hospital fraternity then joined in singing the National Anthem, expressing their commitment to the unity, integrity and progress of the nation.
The hospital premises were adorned in the colours of patriotism during the Independence Day celebrations. Doctors, medical staff and employees participated enthusiastically in the programme. On the occasion, the sacrifices of freedom fighters and the brave sons of the country were remembered and paid tribute to.
The participants also pledged to contribute towards the progress, peace and prosperity of the nation.

During the programme, the Tricolour was honoured and the gathering collectively reaffirmed its patriotic spirit. The hospital management said that Independence Day reminds us of the struggles and sacrifices of the great personalities whose efforts enabled the country to achieve freedom.
The management further stated that the occasion inspires everyone to remain honest and committed to their duties and to actively contribute to nation-building.
